Operation on Development of Vocational Standard Assessment for High Vocational Graduate Model

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to construct a vocational standard assessment model, to provide assessment details as specified in the model, and to assess the vocational standard according to the developed model. The implementation of the study was made in Production Technique Division under the academic cooperation project between Provincial Vocational Education Office, Provincial Employment Office, Provincial Federation of Thai Industries Office, Provincial Chamber of Commerce and establishments in Sisaket Province. Ten experts were to help with the model development and details provision while 29 stakeholders were to assess the apprentices according to the constructed model implemented in 13 establishments. It was found that all experts agreed that the vocational standard model, the assessment criteria, the vocational assessment form, and the procedure for evaluator development were appropriate at a high level ( = 4.15, 3.86, 3.99, 3.60, and S.D. = 0.30, 0.78, 0.57, 0.27 respectively), while the stakeholders were satisfied with the implementation of the model in the educational institutes at a high level as well ( = 3.93, S.D. = 0.54). With respect to the assessment of the apprentices’ performance in the establishments, the entrepreneurs were also satisfied with it at a high level ( = 3.73, S.D. = 0.63).
