Self Sufficiency Economy Living Style of the Students at the Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study knowledge levels and self sufficiency economy living style levels of the students at the Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep and 2) compare self sufficiency economy living style levels of the students at the Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep according to gender, years of studying, faculties, residence, the student loan status and the levels of self sufficiency economy knowledge. The sample of this study included 366 students from the faculty of Liberal Arts and the faculty of Business Administration at Rajamagala University of Technology Krungthep. The research tool was a set of rating scale questionnaire with a 0.84 reliability coefficient. The obtained data were analyzed by descriptive statistics: frequencies, percentages, means and standard deviations and inferential statistics: t-test, one way analysis of variance, and Sheffe’s paired comparison test.
The research results were as follows: 1) Self sufficiency economy knowledge of students at the Rajamagala University of Technology Krungthep in an overall aspect was at a high level. 2) The levels of self sufficiency economy living style of the students at the Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep were at a high level with following aspects ranging from high to low as morality, reasonability, knowledge, sufficiency, and good self-defense. 3) The comparisons of self sufficiency economy living style of the students at the Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep revealed that their living styles were different in accordance with years of studying, faculties and self sufficiency economy knowledge at a .05 level of statistical significance, whereas gender, residence and the student loan status did not significantly lead to different levels of students’ living styles.
